Idea Camp for MY17

On Thursday 8/24, Chora Connection invited 10 widely different participants to partake in an idea camp. The purpose was to develop the new prototype MY17, which aims to make consumers, citizens and ordinary people in Danish society, think and live more sustainably. The framework for MY17 is the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN.
The 10 participants represented a wide range of industries, organizations and companies, and was invited to brainstorm and contribute concepts for MY17. The purpose of MY17 is to create mindset and behavioural change in Danish society.

Chora had invited two speakers to kickstart the meeting, Mikael Bellers Madsen (Concito) and Esther Nørregård-Nielsen (Rådgivende sociologer).

The two speakers charted the premise of the day, by giving presentations on the current state of the climate, the need for action and the theoretical prerequisites for behavioural change in social contexts.

The participants each had the chance to introduce unique ideas, which were treated in workshop groups before then being presented to everyone.

The purpose of the idea camp is to produce something so tangible that it can be implemented immediately. The next step is for Chora Connection to pick up the ideas generated and gather interested partners to develop them further.

Follow along at to keep up to date on the results from the idea camp and other MY17 activities during the autumn.
