Chora Connection til COP23
Chora Connection var i forrige uge til COP23 – FNs Klimatopmøde i Bonn. Formålet var at afvikle en workshop for det nordiske by-netværk ”Attractive Nordic Towns” ledet af det norske Kommunaldepartement under Nordisk Ministeråd.

Green Care Workshop
Green Care Netværk er en ny organisation der arbejder for at fremme forskning og viden om helbredende effekter ved inddragelse af dyr og natur i restorativ behandling.
Fredag d. 27/10 faciliterede Chora Connection en heldags workshop med 15 udvalgte stakeholders fra hele sundhedssystemet, med det formål at styrke organisationens virke.

New Upcycling Center in Seoul
Chora Connection was involved in the opening of the SEOUL UPCYCLING CENTER in Korea, where director Karen Blincoe gave the keynote and took part in a co-creation meetup. The next step is a new international network, promoting upcycling and circular design.

17FOR17 WORLDWIDE: Palais De Tokyo
At 17FOR17 WORLDWIDE, Chora Connection and AGI are engaging designers and artists in a communications project meant to spread the knowledge of the 17 SDG’s, worldwide. On 9/21/2017 the premiere of the first 17 posters from Denmark, the Netherlands and France, was held at Palais De Tokyo in Paris.

VELUX-fondene på visit
Bestyrelsesmedlemmer, medarbejdere samt venner og kollegaer, lagde vejen forbi Chora Connection på Sortedam Dossering 3D, i forbindelse med deres årlige sommerudflugt.

17FOR17 WORLDWIDE
Danish organisation Chora Connection and AGI (Alliance Graphique Internationale) are working together with designers and artists from around the world to develop posters that interpret and communicate the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (Global Goals). The first 17 contributions from Denmark, France and the Netherlands will be exhibited in Palais de Tokyo in Paris during the AGI Open from 18-22 September.

Verdensmåls-certificering til folkeskoler
Chora Connection har nedsat en ekspertgruppe på 15 personer, der skal undersøge behovet for en SDG-certificering til de danske skoler. Ny prototype kan være undervejs.

Idea Camp for MY17
On Thursday 8/24, Chora Connection invited 10 widely different participants to partake in an idea camp. The purpose was to develop the new prototype MY17, which aims to make consumers, citizens and ordinary people in Danish society, think and live more sustainably. The framework for MY17 is the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN.

17FOR17 til UNLEASH i Århus
Chora Connection og 17FOR17 var repræsenteret ved UNLEASH Be The Change festival ved musikhuset i Århus d. 21 og 22 august, sammen aktører som Vestas, Lego, Grundfos og FN-byen - foruden 1000 unge talenter fra hele verden. Målet med UNLEASH var at udvikle nye innovative løsninger der kan sikre at verden når FN's 17 verdensmål inden 2030.

The 17FOR17 posters, which depicts the Global Development Goals (SDG), has toured Denmark since January 2017. In July and August, they were exhibited at law firm Kromann Reumert. See the pictures below.

17FOR17 Exhibited in New York
The poster project 17FOR17 has been touring Denmark with different exhibitions. Beginning of July they were exhibited for the first time out of Denmark, at the UN headquarters in New York, in connection with the High Level political forum on sustainable development.

While We Wait for Asylum
For many fugitives, education is a key factor for the integration into the recipient country’s society as well as re-integration in their home countries. Chora Connection has collaborated with Red Cross and Gaia Education to educate 39 asylum seekers in sustainability and organic food production. The initiative is called S.E.E.S., and is both a prototype for a fugitive education effort, as well as an answer to two of today’s biggest challenges: the fugitive crisis and the environmental crisis.

The 17 posters depicting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN, are now available at www.choraconnection.dk. The posters are developed in cooperation with Danish designers and measures 70x100 cm. It is possible to purchase an entire set of posters for 20.000 DKK (excl. VAT) and a framed set of posters for 40.000 DKK (excl. VAT) – which also includes an extra poster of the designers as well as a poster with all the designs on it.

Art, Leadership and The Global Goals
Chora Connection was at Folkemødet 2017 on Bornholm presenting initiatives to spotlight the 17 SDGs and how to make Danish society more sustainable and resilient.

New Group of Refugees Receive Certificates
Round two of S.E.E.S has just finished. 16 new refugees received their certificates at a ceremony held at Avnstrup Asylum Center.
